The Author?
Peter Stuivenberg, a friend of shipbuilder Leo Boer since the 1980s, had his first yacht, which he sailed the oceans on, built by Leo Boer. It was then that he became acquainted with the core group of professionals around him.
Peter organized expeditions through the Amazon, the Manau jungles, and the Sahara. He and his partner also sailed across many oceans and lived not only in the Netherlands, but also in the Azores, Suriname, Brazil, South Africa, and now in Bonaire.
Peter has written hundreds of articles, 13 books, and, together with his partner, produced videos about the stranding of the Margaret in Jacob’s Bay.
He is also known as a business/strategic consultant (strategy, mapping, feasibility studies), particularly in capital-intensive projects in the security sector, (onshore) fishing, maritime industry, back-of-port areas, free zones, and the utility sector.
This website will later be expanded into a video blog and podcast. The topics will also be incorporated into a video series launched in 2018.
As an investigative journalist, Peter is a member of the non-fiction section of the Authors’ Union and a member of the Dutch Association of Journalists.
